Scheduling Appointments

Ultrasound and X-Ray Examination

To schedule an ultrasound or x-ray appointment, call 613-714-1000. Allow 1-2 business days for a booking specialist to contact you after leaving your voicemail. Leaving multiple voicemails will not accelerate the booking process.

If your health insurance is from another province, you have private health insurance or are uninsured, please inform our staff. If you are not insured by OHIP please refer to the information found in our Financial Policy below.

Monday through Thursday:   8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday:   8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday:   8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday:   Closed

Please note: X-ray Walk-Ins begin at 8:30am. We are closed for lunch from 12:00-12:30 every day. Please check Notices on our main page for any modifications to our regular x-ray hours. 

As the Walk-In X-ray wait times can be quite lengthy, we HIGHLY recommend you check-in online using the link at the bottom of this page prior to coming to the clinic.

Preparing for your examination

Please bring your requisition, OHIP card or other insurance coverage documentation when coming for your exam.

If you are coming for a pelvic or prenatal ultrasound please present with a full bladder. Your bladder does not need to be so full that you are uncomfortable. Usually 2-3 8oz. glasses of water is sufficient.

Depending on your exam you may be asked to change into an examination gown.

Cell Phone Policy

While in our waiting area, please refrain from making/taking phone calls. You may use your smart phone for texting and email.

The use of any of your phone functions, including the camera, is not permitted in our examination rooms.

Financial Policy

A requisition from your physician, nurse practitioner, midwife or chiropractor and a valid OHIP health card are required before services can be provided. Patients from other provinces will be required to pay the OHIP rate for the requested services and a receipt will be provided for reimbursement from your provincial health insurance plan.

Out-of-country or uninsured patients will be charged for services using the Ontario Medical Association statement on uninsured services as a guide OMA Guide to Uninsured Services.

We accept Debit, Visa, and MasterCard. Payment is due at the time service is rendered.

Patient Records – Uninsured Fee Schedule

Your referring provider will receive exam results within 48 hours.  If you would like a copy copy of your records for personal use, please click the link below.  Please note, this link is to obtain your records for personal use.  There is no charge for us to directly forward a copy of your report to another healthcare provider.  Please call 613-714-1000 or email info@avantiahealth.ca if you require your results to be faxed to another provider.
